The chain is fundamental to the reliable running of your bike, propelling it forward by transferring force from the pedals into the drivetrain. It’s one of the elements you will maintain most often, and it should be replaced when worn by extended use. The XLC Chain 1/2 inch x 1/8 inch CC-H01 is designed to work with multi-gear hubs, so it resembles a single-speed chain. The chain has 112 links – you’re likely to find you don’t need this many – with dimensions of 1/2 inch by 1/8 inch, and a pin length of 9.2 mm. Included with this chain is a spring cap chain lock to fasten the ends of the chain together.
